Advance Design & Contractors, Inc. specializes in Design Build, Turn Key Projects usually utilizing Pre-Engineered Metal Building Packages.

Advance Design & Contractors, Inc. was established in 1976 here in Central Florida by Harvey Spears and Henry Hayes. David Eddy was hired in 1978 as a new Salesman / Estimator / Project Manager to focus on Design Build Buildings in the Orlando market.

Unfortunately Henry Hayes passed away in December of 1978, so in 1980, David Eddy became Harvey Spears new partner and continued doing Buildings primarily in Orange, Osceola, Seminole & Lake Counties.

In 1984 David Eddy bought out Harvey Spears and continued all constuction operations.

I would classify our niche as smaller to medium, Commercial/Industrial projects of usually private ownership. We work closely within a local civil/ structural engineer for most of our projects and or various Architects as needed.

We comply with the Florida Statutes concerning occupational licenses, worker's compensation and unemployment compensation laws. Certificates of insurance are available. We abide with all State, County and local codes Our field personnel and equipment ensure completion of all projects in a timely manner.

David A. Eddy is a Certified General Contractor and a graduate of the University of Florida (1970), with a Bachelor of Building Construction Degree. Since 1970 he has been in the Central Florida area working in various capacities of management in the construction industry on commercial projects ranging from small additions to multi-million dollar projects using conventional, precast and pre-engineered techniques.
